The Wedding Photo Montage (The Slide Show)

Almost every wedding will have a photo montage a.k.a. slide show. So, this post really shouldn't be news to anyone but if you haven't seen one of our photo montages, you might want to watch the video before you decide you will do it yourself or have your uncle or best friend from elementary school do it. Is there a difference? Probably. Can we do it faster? Most likely. Is ours in high definition? Definitely.

Basically, the photo montage is a photo history of the bride and groom. Sometimes, the pictures are alternated between the bride and groom as they are growing up and sometimes they each get their own section. There is no correct way, this montage should be exactly how you want it. And usually following the growing up pictures, there will be a section of the bride and groom together through their dating, courtship, and engagement pictures (make sure to get permission from your photographer to include those pictures).

One of the most memorable photo montages I ever did was from 7-8 years ago. The couple had me put the pictures of them growing up side by side on the screen - the amazing thing about it....each picture of the bride matched the corresponding picture of the groom. I can't imagine how much time that took to put together. When their guests were watching the video, they were awestruck.

With that said, here is a photo montage from last month that I put together.

Ruth & Brady - Draper Temple Wedding Video

The Draper Temple this time of year can be so cold, but not on this day.  The wind wasn't blowing and sun even peaked out to warm us all up.  Ruth & Brady were so much fun to work with.  I love shooting weddings where the couple already knows what to expect from me as a videographer.  I shot Brady's sisters wedding 5 1/2 years ago and she has referred so many people to us since then, its almost like we are family now.  The reception was at Millennial Falls in Draper which is always beautiful.  They even had us bring our Photo Booth which is always a big hit at weddings.  Here is the same day edit from the Temple that we played at the reception.

Amy & Karson - (utah wedding video)

Amy & Karson are two of the coolest people ever.  I could hang out with them every day.  It's always fun to shoot weddings when you've already done several for the family.  We had already built up a friendship with the whole family which started 4 1/2 years ago when Kati & Jon got married.  they have referred so many people to us since then, we can't thank them enough!!  The highlight of the night was when Karson sang a song that he wrote to Amy while playing the guitar.  It was very touching.  And then Amy followed it up with her own rendition of a popular Marvin Gaye song  : )  It was great!! So, here is the wedding video/film, whatever you want to call it.  Enjoy.
